DUMA
KIRINDAL MERRY DUMA C.D.
Duma was my first male Dalmatian and though he suffered seperation anxiety he still managed his Novice Obedience title of C.D. A great rabbiter he caught and killed 28 rabbits over a period of 14 days with two one hour walks a day. Duma was cheeky in that he would mark anything he could, even obstacles in Agility training, as we went around the course.
He was the only Dal I know that hated horses, because he tried to mark territory on an electrical fence and when he got zapped he thought that the horse standing on the other side must have bitten him. Duma started sleeping on my bed when I lost Jilba to cancer. The idea for his name came from watching a movie a couple of years before he was born, in which I learned that the word for cheetah in Africa is Duma. He had a very expressive face and would sit next to my chair while I ate my dinner, though his head never moved his eyes would follow my hand from the plate to my mouth and back again.
